Jacob Schuster, son of Angela and Howard Schuster of Old Tappan and brother of Chad, became a bar mitzvah on Nov. 5 at Temple Beth El of Northern Valley in Closter.
Adam Hirsch
Adam Hirsch, son of Sandy and Harris Hirsch of River Vale, became a bar mitzvah on Nov. 5 at Temple Israel and Jewish Community Center in Ridgewood.

Jessica Adler, daughter of Stacy and Jonathan Adler of Haworth and sister of Alyssa, became a bat mitzvah on Nov. 5 at Temple Beth El of Northern Valley in Closter.
Samantha Efman
Samantha Efman, daughter of Ella and Steven Efman of Woodcliff Lake and sister of Monica, became a bat mitzvah on Nov. 5 at Temple Beth Sholom in Park Ridge.
Gideon Abramowitz
Gideon Abramowitz, son of Lisa and Steven Abramowitz of Tenafly and brother of Gabrielle and Benjamin, became a bar mitzvah on Nov. 5 at Temple Emanu-El of Closter. His grandparents are Lila and Marlowe Marcus of Haworth and Phyllis and Jack Abramowitz of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Plainview, N.Y. For his mitzvah project Gideon was part of a Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey “Klene Up Krewe” repairing homes in New Orleans damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
