Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, 7:30 p.m. Rabbi Debra Orenstein and Cantor Lenny Mandel will be assisted by local area clergy from different faith traditions. Rev. Barry R. Miller of Mt. Zion Baptist Church will give the sermon. The celebration of Dr. King’s legacy continues on Sunday, Jan. 15, when the shul joins with other Westwood area clergy and congregations for an interfaith Martin Luther King service at Zion Lutheran Church in Westwood at 4 p.m. The service launches the Westwood Area Clergy Council Food Drive, with each member congregation bringing a specific type of food, for a balance of supplies for local food pantries.
